There's a problem with the 2022 Subaru BRZ
2022 Subaru BRZ is here with more power and torque and updated design both in and out. But there's a problem. In this video, I'll show you what I mean.
Subaru has taken the BRZ and made it torquier, lower, stiffer, and cleaner.
It's got a 2.4-liter, naturally aspirated flat-four cylinder making 228 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. Compare that to the old BRZ that made 205 hp and 156 pound-feet.
The new BRZ still doesn’t have a turbo however peak power arrives at 7,000 rpm but more importantly peak torque comes on at a low 3,700 rpm.
It’s still a pretty light car weighing in at less than 2,900 pounds and you can still get the 2022 Subaru BRZ with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic.
Interior is new as well with an all-digital seven-inch instrument cluster which looks pretty good with its different drive modes and the infotainment screen is an eight-inch display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on board.
The 2022 Subaru BRZ is scheduled to go on sale early fall 2021.
